Security Checks in Education

IAQSA advises all educators to undergo a criminal record check. This provides reassurance to colleagues and clients, in the interest of safe and professional working environments.

• Clients can contact IAQSA to check if a particular educator has undergone security checks.
• Criminal record checks are processed by the United Kingdom government body known as ‘Disclosure and Barring Service’ (DBS.)
• An ‘Enhanced DBS Check’ is recommended for educators, as it relates to work with children.
• Educators without an up to date DBS check can apply to have this processed through IAQSA.
